Troop Trade is a closed-community platform that connects verified members of the military community for the purpose of buying and selling personal vehicles and personal items. Troop Trade is not a dealer, broker, escrow agent, lender, inspector, or party to any transaction conducted between members.

No liability for transactions

All vehicle and personal item listings are submitted by members. Troop Trade does not inspect, appraise, or verify the condition, history, mileage, title status, lien status, authenticity, functionality, or representations of any item listed on the platform. Troop Trade assumes no liability for the accuracy of any listing, the conduct of any member, the outcome of any sale, the safety or roadworthiness of any vehicle, the fitness for purpose of any personal item, or any dispute, loss, injury, or damage arising before, during, or after a transaction.

Personal liability of listing party

Every member who lists a vehicle or personal item agrees that they are personally responsible for the accuracy and completeness of their listing, for compliance with applicable laws regarding vehicle sales, titling, and disclosure in their jurisdiction, and for any claims arising from the sale of their vehicle or item. This disclosure is acknowledged at the point of listing creation.

Membership and verification

Listing creation and contacting sellers requires an active annual membership ($14.99/yr) and identity verification through ID.me confirming active duty, veteran, retiree, reservist, or National Guard status. Anyone may browse listings. There is no per-listing fee — posting vehicles and personal items is included with an active membership.
